Last week
Last week was an interesting week:
Monday: The afternoon was difficult because the children were being naughty and then Caleb got bitten on the head by the dog next door. Don't worry he is still alive and both the dog and Caleb have had their rabies shots. (Thank you for all those who pray for Calebs' safety, he needs it!)If that wasn't enough, I started to cook the dinner and then went to check on Josh in the bath. I came back to find the whole lounge and kitchen full of smoke. I had put the wrong burner on and then the oven gloves had caught light. The smoke alarm went off eventually, but not before Josh and I, coughing and spluttering, ran from the house. Later Josh said to me, "mummy, I didn't even remember to pray, I just ran"!

Tuesday: Caleb had a special sports day for nursery and reception, it was quite fun, although he was sad because his team didn't win.
Wednesday: Daniel took the day off and we made a trip to the police to get our certificate of good conduct. This basically means that we had our figure prints taken and then sent to Dar to run through the computer to make sure that we have been behaving ourselves whilst in Tanzania. It only took about two hours which was quite fast, although I found it mildly unsettling sitting in a small room off a court yard full of prisoners, and with a notice board of photos, many of which contained pictures of people who had been shot!
Thursday: This is what Caleb brought home from school and spent the rest of the afternoon playing with!! He built it a mud house.

Friday: We were taken out for dinner by a short term visitor from New Zealand who was leaving. She was only here for 2 weeks, but the kids loved her and had great fun playing with her.

Sunday: Found 2 ticks on Caleb's chest that I had to pull out. Quite surprisingly this didn't gross me out and I was quite proud of myself. I have obviously moved on a bit! Well almost, I did wash the bedding and all the sofas covers!C
